Here it is. Our first very own Beatcompilation.
When we started this about a year ago, living together in the same building, sharing the same passion for music, we were passing on links of the stuff we found online. It´s a bit like digging for wax – a lot of crap but then at the end of the box you find a beautiful piece of music.. So the next step was to share what you find on an bigger platform. While browsing the web and selecting everyday what stuff is worth promoting, we meet artists who catch our attention. we just wante more of their music. We invented this compilation as fans and asked our favorite underground producers to contribute.. We´re happy to deliver you a selection of mainly unreleased beats.

Toro Y Moi is the sound the world has been waiting for. This multi-cultural juggernaut gathers up the best musical elements from around the globe R&B, Indie Rock, Electronic Dance and Psychedelica and creates something-freaking-else! Over the course of his first groundbreaking full length “Causers Of This”, Toro Y Moi turns the aforementioned musics upside-down with his breathtakingly innovative approach. The incendiary power of Toro Y Moi’s funky synth and guitar play, pumping digital rhythms and gorgeously bright vocal harmonies makes for a formidable combination.

Mr Mool drops ‘Wax Rose Saturday’ from his well received ‘Skulltaste’ album backed with the exclusive ‘Valley Girls’ and remixes from Paul White, Free The Robots, Daso, Shigeto, and Devonwho. The title track sounds like a Prefuse 73 track circa ‘Vocal Studies’, while ‘Valley Girls’ is a more laidback display of R’n'B/IDM fusions. Attacking tracks from the album, Paul White gives a psych-spiked head nodders mix of ‘Wolf Tone Symphony’, while Devonwho gives a BoC-ish mix of ‘Lady Linda’ and Daso turns ‘Enceladus’ into a discofied electrohouse romp.

Kankick is a hip-hop producer from Oxnard, CA. The Kankick sound is dusty, crunchy and blunted, and just the right tempo to get the proper head nod going. He started out in the science of hip-hop beat making in 1988, as a freshman in high school when he hooked up with Madlib who was a sophomore at the time. Kankick later joined the Lootpack and became the 4th member.
Live From The MPC 60 serves as a good starting point for fans of Ayatollah’s soulful production who haven’t explored his instrumental output. With 66 tracks totaling over 150 minutes of music, Live is the definitive Ayatollah instrumental collection, a dream come true for beat junkies. While most producers have swtiched to a computer-based setup, Tollah continues to churn out head-nodding concoctions on his vintage Akai MPC 60, saving each beat on an old-school floppy disc. Though he’s been perfecting his craft for over 15 years, Tollah doesn’t feel like his work is done. “I want to give more to the world,” he explains. “I’ve been sitting on a lot of material.
